Alyson
is a natural if ever there was one. The proclaimed "Indie
Princess of Pop", this California girl stands alone in
today's pop music world - she's the only truly indie pop artist
to score 11 consecutive Top 10 hit singles
in Billboard Magazine, on pop
radio and international airplay
charts!
Born in New York City and now living in Los Angeles, Alyson's interest
in singing and dancing began at an early age when she started performing
in community theater at eight years old. She discovered a natural
songwriting ability when she was a teenager and met up with songwriter/producer
Daveed in Los Angeles with whom Alyson co-wrote her critically-acclaimed
debut album "Take A Good Look".
Alyson self-released the album in 2005 on her own label "PM Media"
and it resulted in five Top 10 hit singles
on the Billboard Dance Chart.
In 2008, Alyson released her second album titled "Hey
You!" that she co-wrote with songwriter/producer Jeremy
Yeremian known for his work with Pink, Ricky Martin, Natalie Imbruglia
and many more. Alyson's 2nd album produced six
Top 5 singles on national U.S. radio charts including
the Hot 100 Radio Chart in New
Music Weekly Magazine.
One of the singles from her 2nd album "Hey You!", titled "Here
With Me", also hit #4 on the
Billboard Dance Chart and won
First Place in Billboard
Magazine's 2008 Billboard World Songwriting Contest.
Thanks to all the radio and chart success of Alyson's album "Hey
You!", Alyson also won the award for "Top
40 Breakthrough Artist" at the 2008 New Music Awards
in Hollywood.
2009 was Alyson's biggest year yet -- she won the award for "Best
Female Mainstream Artist" at the 2009 Independent
Music Network Awards and received 3
nominations for the 2009 New
Music Awards for "Top 40 Female
Artist", "Top 40 Breakthrough
Artist" and "Top 40 Single"
(for her song "Sticky Sticky"). We'd like to thank everyone who
voted for Alyson!
Alyson's music videos have also garnered several awards -- her
video "Take A Good Look" won "Best
Music Video" at the 2006 California
Independent Film Festival, and her video "Hey
You" won "Best Short Film -
Musical" at the 2009 International
Family Film Festival in Hollywood. "Hey You" was also
an "Official Selection" of the
2009 Burbank International Film Festival
in Burbank.
Her music has appeared in many feature films and television shows,
most recently her songs "Hey You" and "Shoobadoo"
are featured in several episodes of the new FOX
show "Tease", and her song "Nothin More To Say"
is featured in the National Lampoon movie "Dorm Daze 2" now
out on DVD.
Alyson has performed with many major artists, sharing the stage
last year with Lady Gaga at
the C89.5 Listener Appreciation Party in Seattle. Last summer
she performed with Joss Stone,
Frenchie Davis and Olivia
Newton-John, and recently appeared with Deborah
Harry.
An actress as well, Alyson has appeared in many television shows,
feature films, commercials, voice-overs and theatre productions
including appearances on "The David Letterman Show" and "American
Dreams".
WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING:
"Being that this is our "Impacting Artists of 2009"
issue we must pay tribute and special attention to some of our independent
artists. We can start by talking about Alyson and why not. Her new
"Shoobadoo" has been "on fire" over the past few weeks and everyone
on our radio panel seems to be all over this one "big time"."

"Alyson is as hot as a girl can be. Her new "Shoobadoo"
has been on the top of our "most added" for three weeks strong and
now the track is headed towards the top of our charts in record
time. When you look towards the "Impacting Artists" category, she
has to be at the top of the pack."

"One artist that fits the bill for being a big success
has been recording artist Alyson. Her single "Sticky Sticky" (PM)
has reached # 1 on the AC40 Indie Chart, our Top 100 and the AC40
Mainstream Chart over the past few weeks. She continues to top many
of the playlists of our reporting stations and her career is most
certainly "on the rise". You'll be seeing and hearing alot more
about Alyson in the weeks and months to come."

"Kelly Clarkson is as big as a gal can be these days and we mean
"big". "I Do Not Hook Up" (RCA/RLG) is her latest offering where
she explains that it's better just to sit at home and eat ice cream.
Recording artist Alyson is taking a different approach. This lean
and mean fighting machine has been blowing away the competition
with her powerful and dangerous "Sticky Sticky" (PM). Need we say
more?"

ALYSON - "Here With Me"
INCREDIBLE NEW BLUE-EYED VOCAL DANCE ANTHEM!
Already flying up the Billboard club chart, this is the kind of
super summer dance anthem that every dancefloor (and dance radio
station!) needs most! Alyson has the crystal clear, gorgeous
voice of an angel, albeit one with the kind of power and passion
that puts her head and shoulders above the competition. She's
amazing, and so is this song! The mixes are so hot that they
couldn't be contained on just one CD Maxi single---she's got two!
Incredible line-up of mixes includes all-star turns from HEX HECTOR,
FRISCIA & LAMBOY and more on the first part, with additional
blockbuster turns from KLUBJUMPERS and the legendary Christophe
Chantzis and Erik Vanspauwen, better known as the "Castles In The
Sky" guys IAN VAN DAHL.

"Here's another HOTT hit from an old friend to Starfleet Music Pool,
Alyson, "Here With Me" (Remixes) on PM Media Music. We've been working
Alyson's music for many years & she just keeps getting better.
This latest hit, "Here With Me", from her new album, "Hey You" is
sure to take her to the next level, especially with the killer remixes
from some of the top remix/producers around the world like, Hex
Hector, Friscia, Lamboy, DJ JST & Jason Randolph. Every mix
has great energy, hot production & the ability to pack your
dancefloors anytime of the night & in a wide variety of clubs
& parties. Radio should be all over this too. Oh, let's not
forget the fact that she's hot in her black dress on the CD cover.
Just more heat for your parties. You should be spinning this project
well into the Fall of '08."

ability has improved. This year, we had a better quality of songs
than ever before,” says contest president, Impresario Jim
Halsey. Winners were judged on structure, originality, lyrics, composition,
melody and commercial appeal. We were thrilled to see that
recording artist Alyson
made the list for “Here With

“Take A Good Look (Remixes)” (4 out of 5 stars)
“Alyson has been tearing up the dance floor lately and
has some great dance music out there. This single is another floor
mover to add to your collection. Remixers on this one are Hex Hector
and Jason Randolph. Hex continues to work his magic on the club
mix as well as the radio edit. Randolph's mix is a little simpler
but yet very effective; the synth line reminds me of Kristine W's
"Feel What You Want." In addition to the remixes, there
is also the original album version which is more R&B sounding.
I love hearing the original versions and then hearing what the remixers
have done to make it into a dance track- I find it amazing!"

“Take A Good Look (Remixes)”
“Take a good look” (Album Version) a great song,
fantastic lyrics and a nice slow and relaxing beat. It’s a
great song. The Acoustic Version is beautiful listening too. As
for the remixes, what can I say; they’re ten times better.
They add a little umph to the original as most remixes usually do
to songs…usually. The Hex Hector Club Mix is just great. All
the ingredients of a great remix; steady pulse, good base line and
have coarse an increase in tempo. I particularly like what the drum
machines doing in this track. My favourite remix would have to be
the Alex Santer Messin Mix. It’s just ten times better than
all the other versions…top class mixing."

“Nothin More To Say”
“Alyson’s voice is beautiful, breathtaking and just
that little bit intoxicating. She is a commanding performer and
really doesn’t need the constant dance rift which runs riot
through the remixes of ‘Nothing More to Say’. Her lyrics
are filled with a disturbing passion which is nevertheless erotic
and you instantly get the impression that this is a track which
has been causing the interiors of many a club to vibrate with a
new passion. Calling Alyson a “ Dance Floor Diva” might
seem a touch stereotypical but one has to admit that this woman
is queen of the dance floor and very close to creating a dance floor
classic with the thumping beat of ‘Nothin More to Say’."

a great intro for both the first track and the album as a whole...The

“Take A Good Look”
“She channels dance-floor divas of the past with subtle
but effective nods to everyone from Cathy Dennis and Taylor Dayne
to Billie Ray Martin, Exposé, and Janet Jackson...Some album
highlights are “Like That”—a song Jennifer Lopez
could only aspire to record—and “Didn’t Ya Think”—a
relentless throbbing update of “Keep Me Hangin’ On.”
Alyson also gets my vote for her vocal restraint. She’s got
a powerful and subtle instrument but she employs none of the over-the-top
histrionics to which others with her abilities fall victim.”

“Take A Good Look”
” The 15 tracks on Take a Good Look showcase a wide array
of styles. The singer sounds equally comfortable performing breezy
pop numbers like the Islands-flavored “Forever” and
R&B-tinged “Baby Come Back.”…Unquestionably,
Alyson is most at home on the dancefloor. Awaiting immediate DJ
attention is the Randolph Club Mix of the CD’s title track.
Sizzling “Didn’t Ya Think,” another uptempo confection,
bears an uncanny likeness to Kim Wilde’s mid-80s chartopper
“You Keep Me Hangin’ On.” The singer is rightfully
proud of the album, not only for its success to date but because
of its commercial availability in general.”

than mere dance music. It's an upbeat and sometimes moody mixture

"There are a few things you need to know about Alyson. She not
only wrote, produced and performed this new single, but she also
released the song independently without the push of a major label.
Noteworthy tidbit is also that the album version of the song has
been playing in Abercrombie & Fitch stores since September. "Feel
You" is taken from her debut album "Take A Good Look" that also
includes the club hits "Baby Come Back" and "What're You Gonna Do"
(which hit an admirable #4 on the Billboard dance chart in September).
Alyson's vocals at times sound somewhat similar to Madonna's."

"Feel You"
"Currently blowing up big time on the Billboard dance chart comes
"Feel You" from vocalist Alyson. This two-tracker is all about the
no-nonsense remixes from RALPHI ROSARIO and E-SMOOVE. Ralphi's bomb
walks the line between dark and hard tech and poppy deepness with
a tough tribal edge and quality production value - always the best
from this veteran. E-Smoove's dub goes for a hard-nosed buzzy house
electro vibe, akin to the monster stuff he's put out on Sondos recently.
Two sturdy mixes of this catchy vocal."
